Defining The Referendum - Part Two

D207 - More Than 3 Schools

When we discuss District 207 we talk in terms of its three schools; Maine East, Maine South and Maine West. We talk in terms of its 6,000+ students and 480+ teachers and administrators. We talk about its 7 member elected Board. Sometimes we even discuss D207s $166 million yearly expense account.

We almost never talk about the most important part of this equation, the people who pay the bills.

So let’s talk about them - us.

The people who pay D207s bills live in Des Plaines, Harwood Heights, Morton Grove, Niles, Norridge, Park Ridge and Unincorporated Cook County. See: D207 Boundary Map

Note: D207 website does not mention Unincorporated Cook County - why is that?

Note: Source of D207 Demographic Info.

District 207 is not as affluent as Park Ridge. Too bad D207s Administration and Board doesn’t understand that.

What do you think?
